It's nearly here and I can begin updating the site regularly!!!!!!!!!That is riding time here at Fourwinds MX Park. I have been watching the place for the last 10 days to see how the
frost was coming out of the ground and when I was there today I would say 75% of it is out. Now begins the pumping out of
the water which I'm glad to say is all in the one spot this year due to me re-working a lot of the areas to drain
properly. I set the pumps up this afternoon and I would say by early tomorrow most of the water that I want off should
be off the property. I have booked the heavy equipment for the first week in April and should have the track changes
done and ready for the first of the Keast schools on Saturday 10th. Keep checking in on the website for the first practice
day of the season. Check out the four pre season Keast Race Schools that we are putting on well worth the time and effort
to come to and learn from one of Canadas top Pro riders. We decided to reduce the numbers for each of the schools this
year as well as try to get the right caliber of riders in each school which will allow Kyle to focus on what riders need at
they're specific level of riding. Each school will have a maximum of 12 riders but probably we will cut it off at 10 just
so as Kyle can do some one on one work with riders as needed. Check all the info and how to book yourself for one of
the schools by clicking on the "lessons & Schools" tab on the menu bar. All of our event dates are
now set and confirmed so check them out. Some of the dates have moved around from last season so be sure to double check.
I have decided to run the Track Championship again this season as I believe it went over very well last season. I have
made a few changes to the rules and other things to correct the few issues we had with things last season so read
carefully and fully understand how things will work. I will have more updates on awards and prize money as things get
finalized with some of the sponsors for this season. I had started with the extension of the pit are last season
and I will have that completed and ready for the first event of the season which will allow for some extra room in the pits.
That seemed to be a big issue at the provincial round last year as it seems that the rigs people are coming to the events
in are getting bigger and more of them every year. That brings me to the entrance and drive way, I have contracted
a company to come in the first week of May to put in a proper gravel drive way. This can't be done prior to then
due to the half load restrictions that are on up until the beggining of May as it would just cost to much to work with
half loads. The new gates have been ordered as well and we will widen the entrance to accomodate these bigger rigs so as they
have an easier time pulling in and out of the park. I will update the site now on regular basis usually every Tuesday
so check in again soon for when our first public practice will be.
