Looking like we will get opened early !!!!Well the weather has been co-operating for the last two weeks and the thaw is starting to come out of the ground and the facility
is starting to dry up quickly. This week I will be pumping out some of the excess water from a few of the areas that need
it to help with the drying of the place. After I have that done and the colverts put in place to assist in future drainage
I will be looking at prepping the track to get open. Hopefully by the end of next week we should be working on the track to
get it open for practice as long as the weather continues to co-operate. I have to wait now until the end of april to bring
the slag in for to do the front driveway as its half load in affect on Island road at the moment and I am not going to pay
for double the amount of trucks to ship the stuff in. Keep watching for the opening date. I have been talking with Kyle
Keast of the OTSFF Suzuki Team about doing a one day school at the track. If anyone is interested in doing an early season
school with one of Canada's top Pro riders please e-mail me and I will look at putting it together probably
for Saturday the 11th or 18th. The cost would be $100 for the school and would have a maximum of 20 riders, so if you want
to get some really good racing tips and lessons let me know.

Weather is changingFinally the weather is starting to change in our favour. If the weather forecasters get it right this week should be great
for getting the thaw started and I will be able to get in to get an early start on getting the excess water pumped off
and allow the low ares to drain and dry out properly this season. After all the work myself and Jamie did at the end of last
year with re-grading a lot of the interior of the track it looks like for the most part its been working and allowing the
water to go away from the track and the edges of the track. The rest of the culverts will be put in in the next month to allow
for even better drainage and the front gate will be widened for those bigger rigs to get into the facility easier. I have
made arrangements to have loads of slag delivered as soon as the frost comes out of the ground so as I can do the entrance
and drive way at least up to the gate house this will at least allow traffic to come in and out of the facility on solid ground
wet or dry. I am optimistic that we will be able to have the facility open and running in great shape for the second weekend
in April which would be a week earlier than expected so keep your eyes on the website for further updates.

Going to FloridaSo are you heading to Florida for the March break and getting some early practice in. If you are heading down be safe and
have fun. It also looks like the weather may finally be changing and heading towards spring. Next weekend is supposed to be
around 5-7 degrees and stay that way for a while. If that the case and the thaw starts by the middle of March we may be into
getting the track up and running on time this season. Hopefully if everything works out we will have the track open for the
middle of April. This saturday the 7th of March is Orangemotorsports spring Open house. Check them out they will have
snacks and beverages as well as some great deals on items you maybe needing before the season starts. LDR MC will also be
there doing early sign up for this season. Go along and check it all out its from 9am - 1pm, for directions and what maybe
be available click their link in the links window.
