Open Practice Saturday
The full track will be open for practice Saturday from 10:30 - 4pm as we have an LDR event on Sunday (day passes are available).
I have worked on it all day thursday and friday to put alot of the good dirt that was scrapped off last week back on the track. I have extended and rebuilt the old table top in the center of the track just after the straight away. I will also be rebuilding a lot of the jumps over the next week or so just adding to the landings and re facing them.

Update on track for the weekend
Jamie Keast came in and worked the dozer for 4 1/2 horus yesterday to makle sure if we did recieve any further rain that we would have run off trenches the whole way around the track to allow water to dicipate off the track.
Jamie will go back at this morning early to work the track back into shape for riding. I have stayed at the track all night to keep an eye on things and do some work and as of 6am we have not recieved any further rain. I have come down to my home to do this update to let everyone know what is going on. I expect to start practice on time at 9:30 am this morning and run to 3:30pm this will then allow us time to re prepp the track again for the event on sunday.
I am very disapointed not to be running what was originally scheduled this weekend as I believe the interest level was exceptionally good for this attempt to run the three moto format for the final round of the OPC. The weather has just been a nightmare all year for all tracks not just mine and I hope that next season sees us get some better weather to do what all enjoy the most and that is race our bikes.

*IMPORTANT NOTICE*
We took a major thunder storm through for 4 hours over night just finishing at 8am. We have cancelled practice for today and have decided to to change the race format from a two day down a one day format. We will run practice tomorrow from 9:30am - 3:30pm allowing us time after that to prepp the track for sunday for racing. The race fees for the event will obviously go back to the normal of $30 first class & $25 each class after that and it will be the normal two moto format.

You can call if you want for further updates but remember I will be working on equipment and trying to get the track sorted out so I may miss the call but I will try to get to every call.

60cc B class added to the Event
I have added the 60cc B class to the event as I had quite a few calls and e-mails on this. It's not a regular class for the provincials but seeing as there is enough interest I have talked with Brett Lee of the CMRC and we have added it to the event. I will update the schedule tonight to reflect this addition.

Ontario Provincial Championsjips Final Round 13/14th September
Well this weekend we host the final round of the 2008 OPC here at Fourwinds MX Park. As you may be aware by now the final round of this years championship is going to be slightly different. We have decided to run it as a THREE MOTO format event held over two days with lots of extra prizes and upgraded trophies. The winners of the Amateur classes will recieve 5ft trophies (I will post a picture of the trophy line up on Monday evening for everyone to see) and the trophies will step down accordingly from there. For the 50cc classes every rider will recieve something, trophies down to tenth and medals for 11th right down to the very last rider. Orange Motor Sports and B&G Trailer Sales are two of the sponsors for the trophies so thank you to both for stepping up to sponsor those classes. We will also be giving out Holeshot awards for the Amateur classes third moto's of the event and Ultimate Toys have been good enough to sponsor those prizes, more on those to follow. I am still working on some other sponsorship at the moment and I'm just waiting on the confirmation of that before I release any of the information.
I have posted the moto schedule for both days of racing in the "event dates" page of the website so if you wish take a look at it to see which classes you run and where your moto's will be in the schedule. I have also posted all the entry fees and gate fees for everyone so you know exactly what everything will cost for the weekend.
So whats new with the track and parking for this event. Before I went to Walton I put in the mogul/whoops along the tree line after the back corner and wednesday was the first time they were used and everyone that was there for practice thought they were a great addition to the track. I also added an ant hill prior to the back sweeper to help create some new lines which again went over well but after walking the track with Jamie Keast on wednesday we have decided to make some further changes to the track starting Sunday. My regulars know what I'm like once I start tinkering with things I tend to keep going that way the track is always evolving and different. Keep your eyes on the website over the next few days as I will keep you informed as to what we have done and maybe post some pics of the new changes. All these changes are done with safety in mind as well as trying to offer/create extra passing areas and create new challanges for the riders. In the pit / parking area I have added a new fence line for everyone to park behind. Between that and the fence line of the track will be the vendor and spectator area and is a NO ride zone no bikes will be permitted in that area what so ever. I have done this for a couple of reasons first to help allow some more spectator viewing along the fence line, sign in area and some where were vendors can set up and have people be able to to walk around and look freely with out worrying about bikes zipping past them. My staff and I have been workoing away hard to make the place look and feel like a top class event and we all hope you will enjoy the event.
Keep watching the website and mxforum for further updates on the event.

Saturday Practice
I will have the perk open for saturday practice from 10:30 am - 4:30pm. Remeber the OPC is next weekend and you may want to try to get some practice in for that. The new mogul whoops worked well on wednesday night practice and the rest of the track will be getting a face lift before next weekend. I will be starting on Monday with Jamie Keast to make some more alterations to the track to create some more line choices and add a couple things for the event. Hope to see a few of you this saturday for practice.

Practice Wednesday 2pm -7pm
I will have the park open from 2-7pm as the light starts to fade alot earlier now. This will be the wednesday hours for the rest of september. I have groomed the track completely today and will water tomorrow prior to practice. The FULL track will be open including the new sections that were done last month prior to me going to Walton. The new mogul style whoops are in along the tree line coming from the back corner and we have changed up some corners with the angles and things to create more lines and flow better.
Remember if you are a member of the following clubs (CMRC, MMRS, LDR, SCR) you do not have to buy a membership to practice at the track for the remainder of the year, you just pay the ride fee of $25. Just remember to have your club card with you to show at sign in.

CMCR Provincial Championship Final Round
I will be hosting the final round of the CMRC Provincial Championships next weekend September 13th and 14th. This will be a THREE MOTO format event which should prove interesting especially with points. I have added the schedule of the event in the "Event Dates" page of the website to give everyone a head start on the weekend on being able to plan for it. I have scheduled open practice for friday from 2pm -7pm to give people the opertunity to get dialed in for the event hopefully we see some of you taking advantage of it. Gates open friday morning for those wishing to get in and set up for the weekend. If you require any further info e-mail me and I will try to help with any questions or keep checking in on the website over the next 12 days as I will be updating the website with different info for the event.
