Saturday, Aug 30th OPEN for practiceThe track is in riding condition. There are a couple of spots with lying water but we are turning the track over and
rotter tilling it. With the sun and wind blowing the track will be in great riding condition by noon.
We
will continue to turn the track over, track will open at 11:00 am.
The back section of the track will remain closed
today and re-open for tomorrow as we will need to work a bit more on it to get it into riding shape.

Saturday Track ConditionsAs per this years weather we had a thunder storm go through the area late last night. I haven't been to the track yet
this morning but did phone up there last night and it was pounding down. I will go to the track around 9am this morning and
survey the track conditions and then post on here as well as MXforum. Please check on here or the post on mxforum.com
or you can phone 905-442-9044 for a track update after 9:30 am before you haul to the track. I would hazard a guess with the
rain we recieved at my house that the back section of the track will definately be closed for today. I will how ever work
to get it open for tomorrows practice and hopefully I can use the front section today.

Fall PracticeI will be opening this saturday and sunday 10:30am - 4:30pm both days to kick off the fall practice at the track. The track
is all set and ready to go for saturday and I will have the full track open this weekend as long as we don't get any really
bad weather. Anyone wishing to camp may do so at no charge. Practice fee is $25 per rider per day and we will except any of
the following membership cards in lieu of our membership (CMRC - MMRS - LDR - SCR) that will remain in place for the remainder
of the season. I am also getting the place ready for the CMRC provincial championship final event September 13/14th.
This will be a two day THREE MOTO format event for the Amateur classes. I am just putting the final details together for the
schedule for both days and should have it ready to be posted on here in the next few days. I will have the track closed on
wednesday 10th spetember to prep the track for the event but will be opening it on Friday 12th from 2pm - 7pm for practice
for the event. Keep checking the website or drop me an e-mail if you require further info on this event. Also for
the OPC event I have hired a new caterer Ken Taylor Catering who are very good. They will be open saturday/sunday morning
at 7am with fresh coffee and breakfast sandwiches and will continue through out the day with the normal menu and beverages
all very reasonably priced. On saturday evening I am still working on some stuff but have talked with Keith from Phat 50's
to put on a mini bike event for all you guys with mini bikes. Details will be posted shortly on that as well but I believe
it will be something similar to what was run at Walton. Anyhow keep checking in on the website or mxforum for updates
to this event and I will be issueing an e-mail through the CMRC next week with alot of the details for the event.

Closed until Labour Day long weekend Aug 30th & 31stI was considering opening tomorrow but with the thunder storm last night and the rain today there is just no way I could open
the track. It has just been a really bad summer this year for rain and the facility has never completely dried up at any stage.
Over the next couple of weeks while its closed I will be doing a lot of things at the facility. I'm hoping that it dries
enough that we can get in there and finish the changes as well as start to grade the place to help with drainage. The couple
of times that we had arranged for the other heavey equipment and dump trucks to come in it has rained which has stopped us
from moving some of the dirt around. I'm hoping that september and october are better months with regards to the weather
but the way its been this year who can tell. I will re open labour day long weekend Aug 30th & 31st. I will be open
both days for practice and camping over is allowed at no charge. So if you want to have a couple of days of practice with
the kids before they go back to school come on out. I will be away all next week at Walton's Trans Can doing some
of the track work and maintenance for the Nationals so I hopefully will see some of you there. I will be releasing the
schedule for the Provincial Championship final event on September 12/13/14th next week remeber this is a THREE moto format.
I'm doing the schedule so as everyone will have an idea as to what time moto's are going off at and what else will
be happening. So if your interested in coming to the event keep checking on here.

For those that did drive up to the track today.I understand there were a few people who never realised that we recieved so much rain last night and drove to the track this
afternoon. I apologise that you drove out to the track especially those that had a long distance to travel. As you can see
from my blog update at 8:15am this morning it was going to be iffy to say the least wether I was going to be able to open.
I have always tried to be honest about what way the track is regards conditions and will always continue to be honest about
it. If I thought there was any way I could have let anyone out there to ride today I would have as long as it would have been
safe enough to do so. The problem was when I did turn the soil over at nooon today all it did was turn to slop and when I
left the track at 1:30 pm the track was still very wet in a lot of the areas. So once again I do apologise to those
that came to the track but it was completely out of my hands. I did update the website and MX Forum first thing this morning
and again on MX Forum at 1;30 pm to say we were closed. My phone number is there and a lot of people did phone after checking
on the internet on either site to see if I was open today.
Thank you again Barry

Wednesday morning track conditionsWell as a lot of you already know we had alot of rain from around 5pm yesterday and it didn't stop until about 3am. I have just been to the track at 7:30 am and its not looking promising for practice today. I will re assess the track around
noon today and see if I can till it up to make it ride able. With the amount of sun and wind today it could well dry enough
but I won't make that decision until later. The good thing is after all the dozer work I've done over the last three
days putting a lot of the dirt back into the track there is vertually no standing water anywhere on the track. Thats the only
reason I think I may be able to run practice with turning the soil over.
This damn weather is really starting
to get to me I'm sick and tired of the rain. With the low turn outs for practice so far this year (when we have been
able to open) and the increased cost to maintain the track with fuel prices and things I'm looking very hard at wether
or not to keep the place open any longer for open practices. It will remain open the rest of the year as scheduled
but at the end of the year I will look at what I want to do for next year as it looks like people are not wanting to
or can't afford to practice as much they just want to go race at the weekends.

Last Practice day for three weeksWednesday the 6th August will be the last practice day until Labour Day long weekend. I will shut the track down for three
weeks after wednesday like every year. Normally I do this because of a couple of reasons the water levels in the ponds are
usually low but not this year, Walton Trans Can is on and everyone is usually away and I take a week away with my family with
no MX allowed . I also use this as a bit of a break to do stuff to the track and this year will be no different as I will be putting
in a few changes to the track ready for the Provincial Championship final that I will be hosting September 13/14th. I have
already started with some of the changes in the back section where i have finally added the mogul/whoops section. I also added
an ant hill instead of the dip going into that back corner. Over the next three weeks there will be a handful of other changes
made to creat some extra line choices in corners and a couple of the jumps are going to be modified. Anyhow wednesday
practice will be at the normal time of 3pm - 8pm track will be groomed and watered if needed like normal so if you want to
get that last minute practice session in before Walton come on out.

Open practice Saturday 2nd AugustI was at the track all day today working with the dozer dressing the track all over again as we had another one of those "storms"
go through on wednesday evening. Again the track was left in a mess because of the amount of rain we recieved but I have cleaned
it all up and will till it all early tomorrow morning. Hey I may even have to get the water truck out to water the track . Practice will start at the normal time of 10:30 am and run until 4:30 pm. The weather report for tomorrow is cloudy
with sunny breaks in the morning and sunny with 30% chance of an issolated shower after 2pm.
