News UpdateI have been working on a lot of the things for the fast aproaching 2010 season as we expect to be open in less
than three months. A lot of the schedule has been set for the season and now I am just trying to firm up the last
few dates. The Track Championship will again be run this season with a few minor modifications and rule changes I will
have all that listed in the next couple of weeks. Some of the event dates are already listed on the events page.
I have also set up pre season MX Schools with Kyle Keast for more info on them check out the Schools &
Lessons page. We are also working on other schools through out the season so check for those to be listed as well. .............................................
If you have been looking I have been working
on some new things for the website to make it more informative, as well as more interactive for everyone. If you
take a look at the menu bar you will see the addition of the Amateur Rider Profile tab, on this page I welcome any amateur
riders to list their profile. Its very easy you just need to send in your profile info along with a photo and I will
up load it to the website as you never know who is on the website having a look as last year we had 75,000 hits in total
16,000 of those were unique. Its just another avenue for riders to get their info and name out there, I hope it can help
some of you out.
..............................................
For the 4x4 Rock
Crawl community I have just uploaded some of the photos that Jamie from T.H.O.R. has sent me on to the the website and
for some you that don't know what a Rock Crawl truck looks like take a look in there. We are working hard at the moment to
get all of the material and equipment in place with in the next eight weeks before half load comes into effect
on the Island. There also some new updates on the event itself as its now went from a one day to a two day event. We
will keep you posted as things happen.
...............................................
As you can see to the left I have been uploading Sponsors logos for the 2010 season here on the
front page. Each logo is a link to the sponsors website or an e-mail link to the company so please be sure and check
them out and if you can use them as they are helping make some of these events bigger and better for you.

2010 Season getting closerFirst off I want to wish everyone a happy new year and good luck in the 2010 season.
............................................................ NEW date for the ANQ in May it will now be held on the 16th
rather than May two four weeknd as it has traditionally been on. The reason for the change was I was asked by MX101
of Sand Del Lee if they could use the May two four weekend for the 3rd annual Eastern Amateur National this year instead
of they're normal Canada Day weekend in July. I agreed and hopefully this will work out for both of us. I have also agreed
to take the Canada Day long weekend date to run our regular provincial date on. I am in the process of putting together a
format for that event, that should make it a really great event to attend especially seeing as thats the first weekend that
the Kids won't be at school on the Monday morning. Canada Day falls on the Thursday this year so I know
that a lot of people make it into a long weekend for the family so we are looking to see if we can make it into three
days of riding with open practice on the friday and racing Saturday / Sunday. I'm looking to hear from you the riders
and families to see if this is a good idea. Please e-mail me with your opinions on this so as I can get a bit of gage
on this. ........................................................ We are now working on the rest of the 2010 schedule and should be able to have a tentive schedule up on the website in the
next week or so. Watch for more news over the next couple of weeks as I am able to get things put together.

Working on 2010 seasonWell another season is over at Fourwinds MX Park and it was a reasonably good season and for the most part a safe season which
was great. We want to thank everyone that came to the facility this season either to race, practice or just to watch.
I am already working on the 2010 season talking with clubs and setting dates. We will be running the Track Championship
again next season which I thought was a big success in its first season this year and congratulations to all the winners
of awards. Obviously there were a few hicups that I will address and I will be modifying the championship rules
slightly for next year so be sure to check the championship page out in the new year for all the info. I
have provisionally set the May 2/4 weekend for next season which is our CMRC ANQ and it will have a few different things happening.
We are looking at making it a two day race format being Sunday & Monday with the normal open practice on
the Saturday. I haven't decided wether to make it a Three Moto format or run two full race days for this I am looking
for some feed back from the riders so please e-mail me with your ideas on this. If we run it as a three moto format
some classes would have two moto's on the Sunday and one on the Monday and vice versa for other classes with entries being
$45 per class. If like normal there is qualifying heats required for certain classes then those classes would be
split like normal except they would run two moto's on the sunday and the overall results from both moto's in each division would
set an A and B final on Monday. We are working on a lot over the winter months to make this a big event for you
the riders to make it the Spring Amatuer Classic and we will be combining it with a Special Event on the Saturday not moto
for something different to watch for those wishing to make this a full long weekend away with the family. Over
the last 4/5 weeks I have been talking with a group from Throttlehappyoffroad.ca to host and promote a "Rock Crawl"
event at the park so I have decided to go ahead and give it a go. This Event will be held in conjunction with the May 2/4
ANQ on the Saturday at the same time as open practice will be running on the MX Track which will allow riders something
else to watch while they aren't practicing. What you don't know what "Rock Crawling" is well you aren't
alone as I didn't until a few weeks back when I meet with them and was given a demonstration which was actually very
interesting to watch. Its not speed orientated but it is very technical and you are able to get up close to the action. The
best way to relate it is Trials Riding except in specially built 4x4 trucks with big wheels, special suspension and
winches to lower or raise the front and rear of the vechile. The obstacles that these things can manouver over and around
is quite amazing if you ask me so it may be something a bit different for all of you to watch. This will be held on a man
made course obviously and can be built in a pretty confined areas and the group have already secured a lot of the required
material to build these courses. For some more info why don't you check out they're website and take a look at some of the
stuff they do. I will also be posting a new page on the website shortly with all the info for this as well as some pictures
and possibly a video or two of some recent action.
I will continue to update the website over the winter as
new info for 2010 becomes available. Please check in when you have a chance and again thank you to everyone this season that
came to the park. Most importantly though I wish to say a big thank you to all the people that helped out this
year to make all the events happen, if I miss anyone I apologise, Doug & Mitch Wright / Wright Truck
and Auto, Kelly & Lisa and they're medical crew, The entire Keast Family, Don Turner, Dan Goheen, Siert
& Tina / Orange Motorsports, Debbie Trollop medical crew, DSF Equipment, Brett Lee (just for taking all the
BS), Donna & Chelsea, Kit & Tim, Doug Balsdon / Rick Jones for the use of the starting gates, Phil Whitefield,
LDRMC, SCRMC, Chris Haddad and to all my regular crew for putting in the long hours when needed to to get the place
ready.

This weekends EventWell this is the Final round of our 2009 Fourwinds MX Park Track Championship as well as the third round of the
CMRC Fox Fall High Point Series. Everything will get started Saturday morning at 9:30am with Open Practice. Like normal I
will be running practice in sessions with big wheel then small wheel to start and if it gets busy enough we will split the
big wheel in to two groups with the faster guys in one and slower in another. Practice will run until 3:30pm and will be the
normal $25 per rider all riders need to be signed in and wearing their wrist band to gain access to the track. Early
sign in for Sundays race event will be 6:30pm - 8pm at the office trailer. Sunday morning sign in will start at 6:30am - 8;30am
riders meeting will be held at 8am sharp with practice following directly. Track prep has been ongoing since Monday
and the track is ripped deep and the soil is nice and lose, watering started Thursday evening and will again be watered Friday
and Saturday evenings with good moisture levels in the track it will be perfect riding conditions. We have been running
our new piece of equipment which rips a lot deeper and allows for the moisture to get deeper so we shouldn't run into
the problems of hard pack apart from the one rhythm section which is clay and will become hard packed. Last weekend was a
great test run in what seems to be the similar type of weather conditions forecasted for this weekend and we had virtually
zero dust anywhere on the track with lots of soft ruts and dirt the whole day. This is an event weekend and everyone
coming through the gate Friday and Saturday will be required to pay the gate and camping fees, anyone arriving Sunday
gate fees only will apply.

Looking good for this weekendI have been grooming the track from thursday morning putting a lot of the dirt back into the track from last weekend. Ripped
it deep this morning and the moisture level was still there which is great. Re faced half the jumps this afternoon and will
finish them tonight and will be starting to water around 6;30pm so as the moisture gets down into the dirt. Track should be
in great shape for tomorrows practice and Sundays SCR race event. For all you SCR families that are coming to camp over
either tonight or tomorrow night the Port Perry Fair is on at the fair grounds so that might be something for you to do saturday
night. See you all at the track.
